As a Junior Cost Controller with our Project Services – Project Cost Control team, you will help project teams understand cost performance and make informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle. Working with Project Managers, Cost Controllers, Planners, Finance partners, and technical teams, you will support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, change control, and performance reporting across infrastructure, mining, industrial, and energy projects while building a strong foundation in project controls.
Deliver accurate project cost reports and dashboards that give teams clear insight into budgets, commitments, expenditures, actual costs, and emerging trends.
Strengthen project governance by maintaining cost baselines, approved budget changes, documentation, and traceable records across project controls systems.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Planners, Finance partners, Engineers, and technical teams to connect cost control, scheduling, and performance reporting.
The Skills That Set You Apart
A diploma, bachelor's degree, or equivalent education in engineering, project management, finance, business administration, construction management, or
a related
discipline.
Foundational experience in project controls, cost control, project administration, finance, construction, engineering consulting, or comparable project-based work.
Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost baselines, variance analysis, and project performance reporting across the project lifecycle.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reconciliation, tracking, and reporting; experience with Power BI is an asset.
Familiarity with
InEight
, Oracle, or comparable project controls systems, along with an understanding of Earned Value Management concepts, is an asset.
Ability to validate financial data, maintain accurate and traceable records, manage reporting deadlines, and communicate cost insights with multidisciplinary stakeholders;
English-French
bilingualism is an asset where project or client needs require it.
