Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for all patrons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Prior restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Prepare and assemble food items according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions with accuracy and efficiency
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, adhering to food safety standards
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Restock supplies and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Assist in food handling and preparation tasks as needed, following proper sanitation procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
