POSITION SUMMARY: This role is responsible for maintaining anything/everything throughout the facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Daily checks of the entrance ways - snow and/or ice removal as required
· General maintenance throughout the buildings – lighting, painting, toilet and sink repair and/or replacement, doors/windows, roof and eaves
· Routine maintenance and repairs on equipment - wheelabrator, forklifts, welding machines, powered hand tools, etc.
· Weekly sweeping of shop floor with a floor cleaning machine
· City runs to and from the shop to pick up repaired tools, various supplies and parts
· Completing assigned & requested tasks on Work Orders.
· Striving to achieve and maintain 5s standards in the work bay
· Other duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum (1) year experience in a maintenance role is required
· Preference will be given to those with mechanical experience in an industrial setting, strong electrical skills would be an asset.
· Valid Driver's license is required
· Forklift and/or scissor lift experience is preferred, Skid Steer experience ideal
· Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Both indoors and outdoors year-round.
· Dusty environment due to manufacturing processes.
· Working at heights off ladders or in scissor lift is a common requirement
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Comfortable working in cramped & tight spaces for adjustments to equipment, oil changes, gas appliance and fixture repairs.
· Lifting boxes full of received maintenance items, working with heavy parts and filters
