Empire Motel, close to Skaha Lake Beach , Penticton, BC, Canada , is hiring a position of housekeeper and laundry attendant , part time; this part time position will lead to full time during summer season. This person will do both of the housekeeping and laundry work in the winter and spring seasons.
Housekeeping duties and responsibilities:
- Change all used beddings and towels, make beds and freshen linens, stock supplies for rooms as needed;
- Clean guest rooms: empty wastebaskets; vacuum and wet mop floor; dust; clean all furniture, small appliances, bathrooms, kitchens, windows, doors .
- Regularly check if room fixtures, lighting and appliances are in working order and report problems to the front desk to request the maintenance
- Reports all articles left behind by guests
- perform other duties as required
laundry duties and responsibilities:
- be able to stand for long period of time
- operate, maintain and clean laundry equipment
- do the treatment for lines and towels. etc.
- perform other duties as required
Skills and requirements:
- no smoking
- must be able to lift 30 pounds and stand for long period of time
- must be available on weekends and holidays
- able to work independently
- detail oriented, efficient and time management
- Punctuality, responsibility and integrity
- Previous experience is an asset but not required. We will fully train all the new employees.

Wage: starting $18.50/hour, up to $20/hour with experience;
