We are seeking a skilled and technically inclined Service Technician to join our growing residential windows and doors team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in renovation, construction, installation, or related fields who wants to build a stable, long-term career. You will travel to customers’ homes to diagnose service issues, complete repairs, replace components, and ensure residential windows and exterior doors operate properly. The ideal candidate is a dependable problem-solver who takes pride in quality workmanship and provides professional, respectful customer service.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair operational, installation, and performance issues involving windows and exterior doors
- Replace sealed glass units, screens, weatherstripping, hardware, locks, handles, and other components
- Adjust windows and doors to improve alignment, operation, security, and weather resistance
- Complete caulking, sealing, and minor installation corrections
- Accurately document service findings, repairs, materials, and follow-up requirements
- Communicate professionally with customers and explain completed work
- Maintain an organized service vehicle, tools, equipment, and replacement parts
- Follow company procedures and all applicable health and safety requirements
What You’ll Bring
- A strong technical aptitude with hands-on installation, construction, renovation, or service experience
- Previous window and door experience is an asset, but experienced construction or renovation professionals are encouraged to apply
- Strong troubleshooting, repair, and finishing skills
- Ability to learn window and exterior door systems, including glass, hardware, weatherstripping, and sealants
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Professional communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage scheduled service appointments
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely lift and handle windows, doors, glass, tools, and equipment
