About Us
Northern Alberta Eye Surgery Clinic is a busy ophthalmology practice in Grande Prairie. We provide eye care in a professional, respectful, and patient-focused environment.
We are looking for a reliable, punctual, attentive, and respectful Medical Office Assistant / Clinic Assistant to help with front desk duties, patient flow, and daily clinic support.
Training will be provided. Previous medical office or reception experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and book appointments
- Confirm and update patient demographic information, pharmacy information, and appointment details
- Enter and maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record system
- Perform data entry and keep records complete, accurate, and up to date
- Assist with scanning, uploading, organizing, faxing, and filing patient documents
- Help organize eye-related imaging and clinic paperwork
- Maintain patient confidentiality and handle medical information responsibly
- Coordinate with clinic staff to support efficient patient flow
- Prepare, clean, and restock exam rooms as needed
- Complete routine administrative tasks accurately and on time
- Follow clinic protocols and communicate respectfully with patients, physicians, and coworkers
- Ask questions when unsure and learn basic ophthalmology clinic tasks with training

- Interested in helping the clinic run smoothly
- Previous medical office, reception, or administrative experience is an asset, but not required

This is a patient-focused ophthalmology clinic. The office can be busy, and we need someone who can stay organized, communicate professionally, and help keep the clinic running smoothly.

Compensation and Benefits
