Job Purpose
Provide a safe and welcoming environment for all students attending the Before & After School Program.
Reporting Relationship
This position reports to the Before & After School Program Coordinator.
Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise children in a 15:1 ratio.

Create positive, meaningful, and appropriate connections/relationships with children.

Implement age-appropriate activities.

Ensure the safety of all children while attending the program.

End of day cleaning and sanitizing of the program space and materials.

Communicate with Coordinator and child’s parents about behaviours or unusual occurrences.

Collaborate and work as a team with other program workers and educators.

Provide casual relief in the Rosewood Early Learning & Family Centre when required.

Provide care on school PD days, which includes implementing activities, serving children food, and supervising children on excursions.
Other duties may be assigned.
Education and Experience
-
Secondary education preferred (Grade 10 minimum).

Experience working with children ages 0 – 12 years.

Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search is required.

First Aid and CPR is an asset.

Working Conditions

In-person located at St. Terese of Lisieux School.

This is a casual position. The B&A programs operates from September – June.

Hours of work are based on operational need during Monday – Friday.

Regular shifts are 3 hours each. AM shift is 7:30am – 10:30am and PM shifts is 3:00pm – 6:00pm. PD Days are up to 8 hour shifts.
