Job Summary:
Please read the details for this position carefully. The time commitment changes from p/t to full-time then back.
Seeking a p/t baker immediately at our busy bakery/cafe in downtown Victoria.
Approximately 2-3 days weekly for a total of 8-12 hours. Ideally Saturday/ Sunday and/or Monday.
This position would then become Full Time for the month of September while our baker is away. Then return to p/t with increased hours (up to full time) for the holiday season.
Possibility to also work as a barista/cashier to maintain hours in Oct and Nov.
Our style is delicious and pretty yet not overly fussy desserts. Our in-house atmosphere is upbeat and positive, with friendly staff and a nice boss ;)
Cake decoration is a plus.

Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Baker in a restaurant or bakery setting a must OR freshly graduated from a pastry program
- Or training available for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures, Foodsafe a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Pay based on experience plus a share of tips
