Yard location: Laval
Workdays: Sunday to Thursday
Shift Start time: 5PM to 1AM
Work on Statutory Holidays base on the workday regular shift.
**May work on a Saturday, during business peak periods in the month of December**
What you will do:
- Drive a refrigerated Class 1 Tractor Trailer
- Drive a dedicated route from Laval, QC to Kingston, ON and back
- Deliver freights in good condition and within the scheduled time
- Swap, drop and or hook a Trailer
- Maneuver trucks into loading and or unloading positions
- Back up Tractor Trailer to the dock doors successfully
- Accurately complete all required documentation
- Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection
- Report on all safety hazards and accidents
- Use a cellular phone to communicate with dispatch ie. Truck breakdowns, delivery concerns, answer calls, texts, etc….
- Provide excellent customer service
- Build strong client relationships
- Adhere to safety and compliance regulations
- Additional duties as required

What we require of you:
- High School Diploma
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence
- Clean Commercial Driver’s Abstract
- Courier or LTL experience is an asset
- Minimum 1-year Class 1 Tractor Trailer Truck driving experience with a verifiable Employer Reference or over 2 years of Class 1 Tractor Trailer Truck driving experience
- Capable of swapping and hooking of the trailers
- Able to drive and sit for long hours
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork
- Customer Focus – experience providing quality customer service
- Adaptable to change
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to work on a team and be a team player
- Must be comfortable with using onboard or handheld computer devices
- Must have a safety and compliance mindset
