Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Coordinator to enhance the quality of life for residents in our Personal care Home. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and leading engaging activities tailored to seniors. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by fostering social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being.
Duties
- Develop and implement a variety of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities suited to residents’ interests and abilities.
- Coordinate group events and individual activities that promote engagement and resident participation.
- Maintain activity calendars and ensure timely communication of upcoming events.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages participation from all residents, respecting their individual capabilities.
- Monitor social media accounts and respond to inquiries as directed.
- Capture and share photos and videos while adhering to privacy and consent policies.
- Create, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms. Promote programs, events, and activities through engaging posts and stories.
- Collaborate with staff to develop content that showcases programs and community involvement.
- Document participation and feedback to continually improve activity programs.
- Assist residents during activities as needed
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities
Experience
- Prior experience working in a Personal Care Home setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills are essential for engaging residents effectively and collaborating with team members.
- Previous experience planning or leading recreational activities will be considered a plus. This role is vital in creating a vibrant community atmosphere that promotes residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being through thoughtfully organized activities.
- Experience creating and managing content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
- Ability to monitor engagement, respond professionally to online inquiries, and maintain a positive organizational presence.
