NRD Construction is looking for a reliable Construction Helper / Renovation Assistant to work directly with our site lead on residential and commercial renovation projects.
This is not an entry-level labor-only position. We are looking for someone who already has some basic construction skills and wants to keep learning. The right person will help with day-to-day site tasks, support the site lead, keep the job moving, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Responsibilities
- Assist the site lead with renovation work from start to finish
- Measure, cut, carry, install, prep, clean, and organize materials
- Help with framing, drywall, flooring, trim, demolition, and general renovation tasks
- Set up and clean up job sites daily
- Protect floors, walls, finished surfaces, and customer property
- Load and unload tools, materials, and supplies
- Follow instructions carefully and complete tasks properly
- Work safely and professionally around customers and other trades
- Learn proper renovation methods, jobsite organization, and project sequencing
Required Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate should already have basic experience with:
- Measuring and cutting materials
- Using hand tools and power tools safely
- Basic framing
- Drywall installation and/or patching
- Flooring prep or installation
- Demolition and site prep
- Reading a tape measure accurately
- Understanding basic renovation workflow
- Keeping a job site clean and organized

Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Own basic tools preferred
- Previous renovation or construction experience required
- Working at Heights, WHMIS, or other safety certifications are an asset
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
We are looking for someone dependable, practical, and ready to work.
Pay: $23.00-$29.00 per hour
