Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Workers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of daily living care. This role is vital in promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized care such as dementia or medication management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caregiving, with experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning client living areas to maintain a safe and sanitary environment
- Support clients with mobility and transfer assistance as needed
- Monitor and report changes in health status or behaviour to supervisors or healthcare professionals
- Assist with toileting, feeding, and other personal hygiene tasks
- Implement specialized care routines for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments
Requirements
- Strong caregiving skills with patience, compassion, and professionalism
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks efficiently
- Valid certification or training in caregiving or home health aide programs is a plus, but not mandatory
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality personal care services
- Must possess a vehicle
- Valid first aid /CPR certificate
- Available on weekends
- Bilingual French and English
Pay: From $20.23 per hour
