About the Role:
As a Solar Electrician, you’ll play a key role in installing, wiring, and troubleshooting residential solar energy systems. You’ll ensure safe, high-quality installations that meet Alberta’s electrical codes while working closely with our solar installation teams. This position will also perform main panel upgrades/service change outs throughout the territory. Knowing how to do these will be required.
What You’ll Do:
- Install & Wire solar panels, inverters, and battery storage systems
- Troubleshoot & Repair electrical issues in residential solar systems
- Ensure Safety & Code Compliance in all installations
- Conduct Testing & Inspections before and after installation
- Work with Install Teams to complete projects efficiently
- Educate Homeowners on system functions and maintenance
What You Bring:
✔ Red Seal or Journeyman Electrician Certification REQUIRED
✔ Knowledgeable with main panel upgrades is required
✔ 2+ years of residential electrical experience (Solar experience preferred)
✔ Ability to Read Schematics & Electrical Plans
✔ Strong Problem-Solving & Communication Skills
✔ Comfort with Heights & Working Outdoors
✔ Valid Driver’s License & Willingness to Travel (Calgary & surrounding areas, occasional travel outside the region)
