The Food Service Supervisor assists the Nutrition Manager in planning, organizing, motivating, directing, controlling, and evaluating all aspects of the Food Service Department. The Food Service Supervisor provides foresight, order, purpose, and integration of effort and effectiveness to the contributions of all Food Service Employees.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
· Adhere to the Long Term Care Facility's MISSION, VALUES, and VISION.
· Adopt and put into action the 10 Principles of the Eden Alternative style of Long Term Care Management.
- Weekly Produce, Coffee and Dairy Ordering
- Weekly Nutrition Quarterlies/ MDS/ RAPS as assigned by Registered Dietitian.
- Weekly Fluid Review
- Weekly Resident Care Plan, Nutrition Cardex, Nourishment Label, Seating Plan, Assistive Device, and back-up reports updates, printing and distribution
- As Scheduled Six Week and Annual Care Conferences Reports and Attendance
- As Required Nutrition Admissions and Discharges
- Monthly CQI Collection, Calculation, Review, Documentation and Reporting
- Weekly Nourishment Labels Updated
- Auditing as Scheduled and Required.
- Other Tasks as Assigned by Nutrition Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Successful completion of either Food Service Management or Dietetic Technician program.
· Member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management
· Food Safety Certification
