Overview
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and efficient Barista to join our team within a fast-paced 24-hour healthcare centre environment. This unique setting serves patients, visitors, and healthcare staff around the clock, requiring flexibility, professionalism, and a strong commitment to customer care. Please note, this job is only for candidates who are able to work overnight shifts.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks with precision and consistency
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in all food preparation areas
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service
- Ensure food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations
- Restock supplies as needed and keep the work area organized
- Engage with customers to create a positive experience that encourages repeat business
- Follow food safety guidelines during food preparation and service
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Ability to work overnight shifts
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Experience with POS systems (Micros POS is an asset)
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong multitasking and time management abilities
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork
