National Emergency Safety Services Corp. (NESS) is looking for a reliable, professional, and organized person to join our team as an Office Manager and Training Coordinator.
This position supports the daily operations of our safety company, including training coordination, client communication, office administration, records management, scheduling, and drug and alcohol testing administration.
NESS provides health and safety services, training, first aid, emergency response, industrial hygiene support, safety advisors, and specialized rescue support for construction, mining, forestry, transportation, and industrial clients.
Position Type: Full-time
Location: Telkwa / Smithers, BC
Wage: $28–$36 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility required based on client needs
Main Duties
The successful candidate will help manage the daily office workflow and support the delivery of NESS services.
Key duties include:
● Coordinate safety training courses, instructors, students, certificates, and course records.
● Communicate professionally with clients, workers, contractors, and internal team members.
● Answer phone calls, emails, and client requests.
● Schedule training, testing appointments, safety personnel, and service work.
● Prepare and maintain training documents, attendance sheets, certificates, and client records.
● Support invoicing, purchase orders, quotes, and basic administrative tracking.
● Maintain organized digital and paper filing systems.
● Assist with onboarding documents, employee records, and contractor information.
● Administer drug and alcohol testing appointments, including paperwork, chain of custody, confidentiality, and client reporting requirements.
● Maintain supplies for training, testing, office use, and field operations.
● Support management with day-to-day business administration.

● Comfortable working with clients, workers, trainers, and field personnel.

● Valid driver’s licence.
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience in office administration, training coordination, safety administration, medical office administration, dispatch, or project coordination.
● Experience with drug and alcohol testing, chain of custody, or confidential workplace testing programs.
● Occupational First Aid, Emergency Medical Responder, or other first aid training.
● Experience in construction, mining, forestry, transportation, or industrial safety.
● Knowledge of WorkSafeBC, safety training records, or compliance documentation.
● Experience using QuickBooks, scheduling software, learning management systems, or client management systems.
Training can be provided for the right candidate.
