We have an exciting opportunity within the Sexually Transmitted Infections Centralized Services (STICS) team for an Administrative Support III position. Our team is based in Edmonton, where you will be part of the Administrative support team that ensures follow-up of notifiable STI/HIV cases and partners to prevent complications and reduce further spread of infection. Utilize your strong critical thinking skills to review and triage laboratory results, ensuring proper assignment and routing based on defined criteria, priority levels, and compliance standards, transcription of notifiable disease reporting forms and to support the provincial Partner Notification nursing team with administrative functions such as creating letters, data entry and communication with clients and healthcare providers. With your independent troubleshooting skills, you will work to solve a variety of issues related to lab results, medication requests and other daily tasks. Your organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks will help you excel in this role with the high volume of work and competing demands in your daily work. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be critical in this role as the data you enter in the STI surveillance system provides the information necessary for reporting locally, provincially, and nationally. Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Post-secondary courses related to office or clerical work. Minimum three years within the past five years working in a clerical position within a healthcare setting. Experience with high volumes of data entry, working with laboratory reports and medical forms. Computer experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Netcare, Communicable Disease/Outbreak Management (CD/OM), Connect Care, virtual communication platforms, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum two years within the past three years’ experience in a sexual health setting. Public health experience related to STI/HIV reporting, testing, treating, and partner notification. Post-secondary courses related to healthcare, databases and/or computers.
