Emproria is a family owned local restaurant and live music venue in the heart of Langford on Vancouver Island’s Westshore. We’re a community-driven space where good food, live entertainment and connection come together.
Our menu features homegrown ingredients from nearby farms in Metchosin, Sooke, Saanich, Victoria and Saltspring Island, with a focus on homemade, made-in-house dishes that reflect the best of the West Coast. We proudly pour craft beers, BC spirits, and regional wines, all from local producers.
We are looking for a full time bartender to come on board 4-5 shifts closing shifs a week.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Use POS systems such as Micros POS to process orders, payments, and manage tabs efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and bar equipment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards during beverage preparation and serving.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking drink orders, and addressing any special requests or concerns.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments.
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by monitoring guest consumption and preventing over-serving.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless dining experience for all patrons.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred, especially in serving or bartending roles.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing tabs accurately.
- Knowledge of food service operations, hospitality principles, and serving techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism. Pay: $17.85-$22.50 per hour
