# Kitchen Helper / Line Cook — Part-Time to Full-Time

**Hours:** Approximately 25–35 hours per week to start, with potential to increase based on performance, reliability, and business needs
**Pay:** 16.75-18/hour, depending on experience
## About Us
Wok Your Way is a local Thai and Chinese fusion restaurant in Dartmouth. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking kitchen team member to join our back-of-house team.
This position is a good fit for someone who is responsible, willing to learn, comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen, and interested in growing with the restaurant.
## Responsibilities
* Assist with food preparation and daily kitchen setup
* Help with cooking support, packing orders, and organizing takeout items
* Prepare vegetables, sauces, rice, noodles, and other ingredients as needed
* Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and safe
* Follow food safety and sanitation standards
* Support the kitchen team during busy lunch, dinner, weekend, and holiday shifts
* Complete closing and cleaning duties as required
## Requirements
* Previous kitchen experience is preferred
* Experience with Asian cuisine, wok cooking, or fast-paced restaurant kitchens is an asset
* Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
* Must be available on weekends and holidays
* Ability to work under pressure during busy periods
* Willingness to learn and follow restaurant procedures
* Basic English communication skills are required
## Schedule
This position will start as part-time, approximately 25–35 hours per week. More hours may be offered depending on performance, availability, and business needs. Candidates looking for long-term employment are preferred.
