Overview:
We are currently seeking passionate and skilled Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) to join our team at Sparsh Wellness Retreat.As an integral member of our clinic, you will be responsible for providing exceptional massage therapy services to clients, fostering their health and well-being through personalized treatment plans and compassionate care. Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments of clients' health history, presenting conditions, and physical needs to determine the most appropriate massage techniques and treatments.
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions for clients.
- Developing personalized treatment plans based on client assessments and goals, which may involve various massage techniques, modalities, and adjunct therapies.
- Providing clients with education on self-care techniques, exercises, posture, ergonomics, and lifestyle modifications to support their treatment progress and overall well-being.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, chiropractors, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists, as needed to coordinate care and referrals for clients
- Maintaining accurate records of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and any relevant communications to ensure continuity of care and compliance with legal and professional standards.
- Adhering to ethical standards and professional codes of conduct, including maintaining client confidentiality, respecting boundaries, and ensuring a safe and comfortable treatment environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the massage rooms.
Skills:
- Proficiency in a variety of massage therapy techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, sports massage, and others, depending on the client's needs.
- Ability to conduct thorough assessments of clients' health history, physical condition, and presenting issues to develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills to establish rapport with clients, explain treatment options, educate clients on self-care techniques, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Capacity to manage client appointments efficiently, maintain client records accurately, and handle inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary clinic setting, such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, and occupational therapists, to provide holistic care to clients.
- Demonstrating empathy, understanding, and compassion towards clients, especially those experiencing pain, discomfort, or emotional stress.
