Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Class 3 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently across various locations. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, automotive repair, and adherence to safety protocols will ensure smooth deliveries and uphold our commitment to excellent service. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment while developing their driving and operational skills. The job is too run for at least one month with potential of staying on longer. STARTING MONDAY AUGUST 24TH, 6AM.
Duties
- Safely operate Class 3 commercial vehicles, including trucks and delivery vans, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Valid Class 3 driver’s with airbreaks, identification to drive a 3 axel truck
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic automotive repairs, and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Manage freight documentation accurately, including delivery logs, manifests, and inspection reports
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure timely pickup and delivery schedules are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior and exterior
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, utilizing forklift skills for loading and unloading shipments
Requirements
- Valid Class 3 driver’s with airbreaks, identification to drive a 3 axel truck
- A clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently (certification preferred)
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards
- Basic automotive repair skills for routine vehicle maintenance
- Strong communication skills
