Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ECE Level 2 - 3 professional to join our early childhood education team. This role involves supporting the development and well-being of young children, including those with special needs, in a nurturing classroom environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a passion for fostering children's growth. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued to effectively serve diverse communities. Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs through engaging interactions
- Provide individualized attention to children with disabilities or special needs, ensuring inclusive participation
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and behavior
- Collaborate with team members to develop strategies that support children's learning goals
- Utilize computer skills for documentation, record keeping, and reporting purposes
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding less experienced staff or interns as needed
- Manage time effectively to balance instructional duties with administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in early childhood settings or classrooms is required
- Childcare certification or early childhood education credentials at Level 2 or 3 are essential
- Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education is preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, families, and team members
- Computer literacy including basic operation of educational software and documentation tools
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Writing skills for maintaining accurate records and reports

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
