Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Painter/Labourer to join our construction and restoration team. This role involves performing residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects, utilizing various hand and power tools, and supporting general labour tasks on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, good communication skills, and the ability to read schematics and blueprints. Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming as needed
- Apply paint, stain, or coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment across residential, commercial, and industrial projects
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various tasks including rigging and carpentry work
- Assist with restoration projects by performing surface repairs and preparing sites for finishing work
- Support team members with general labour tasks such as moving materials, setting up scaffolding or ladders, and maintaining a clean work environment
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met on time
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction painting or related fields such as restoration or industrial painting is preferred
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics is advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, rigging, caulking, carpentry, and schematics
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for effective customer service and team collaboration
- Ability to work safely with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to perform manual labour including lifting, bending, climbing ladders/scaffolding, and working at heights
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills within the construction trades
Pay: $16.94-$22.00 per hour
