Warehouse Lead hand / Supervisor Assistant

The Warehouse Lead hand / Supervisor Assistant supports the Warehouse Supervisor in coordinating daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining safety standards, and assisting with inventory control. This role provides leadership to warehouse staff, helps oversee shipping and receiving activities, and ensures company procedures are followed to meet productivity and quality goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Warehouse Supervisor coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Lead, train, coach, and motivate warehouse team members to meet operational goals.
- Assign work schedules and monitor employee performance and productivity.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts and proper inventory management procedures.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and workplace standards.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, and operational issues.
- Monitor warehouse equipment and coordinate maintenance when required.
- Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, transportation, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare operational reports and maintain warehouse records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost control.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of products to prevent damage or loss.
- Assist with staffing, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
Required
- 2–5 years of warehouse experience, including supervisory or team lead responsibilities.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping/receiving processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions, including temperature fluctuations.
- Comfortable operating warehouse equipment and machinery.
Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
