SUMMARY
Ensure finished goods including repair, rework and refurbishes meet VEXOS and customer quality standards. This position reports to the QC Leader.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform all visual and final inspection steps per work instructions and product process plans in accordance with View Station.
- Ensure all customer documents, BOM and special drawings or customer specs are being checked for and being followed.
- Responsible for “first off inspection” of the first 5 boards going through wave solder machine for each new job of each product being run.
- Ensure the parts are installed on the board as per BOM and View Station.
- Ensure workmanship conforms to IPC 610 Standards.
- Verify all processes are performed to the documentation.
- Report all issues to QC Leader or appropriate Production or Operations Leaders (Quality Control/Training Manager, Senior QC Team Leader, Production Manager or appropriate designate)
- Make sure housekeeping is being done at all areas and is maintained at all times.
- Ensure that each board is being properly scanned through Tecnomatix, read Tecnomatix instructions in the training aid TR- MFG -04- B for any doubts.
- Responsible for proper scanning of boards and performing these operations using View Station
- Bring all scanning related issues to the attention of the QC Supervisor.
- Handle and store materials/boards using ESD guidelines.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained all through the production.
- Position may involve physical demands such as lifting of heavy objects.
- Perform any other relevant tasks to help out any other area in production.
- Perform other tasks as required.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Good knowledge of electronic assemblies including through hole and SMT components, drawings and BOMS.
- Able to read values and correct polarity of Surface Mount components.
- Familiar with IPC standards with respect to PCB repair.
- Knowledge of quality systems and ESD control.
- Good work habits and housekeeping.
- Experience with IPC Standards and ISO 9002 would be helpful.
- Certificate or Diploma in Electronics or enrolled in a technical school would be an asset.
- Minimum of 1-year experience in In process and Final Inspection.
LOCATION - 100% ON-SITE
- The position location is based in Markham, Ontario facilities (Building A at 195 Royal Crest Court and/or Building B at 3930 14th Avenue)
- Incumbent must be open to working at both facilities as business and operational needs dictate
HOURS OF WORK: Night Shift: Monday to Friday 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (may be scheduled for training on days or afternoon shift as needed). Full overnight shifts physically worked are applicable to a $2/hour shift premium. Any other hours worked during training or other business reasons that are not full overnight hours (ie. 11 pm to 7 am)will not be eligible for the $2/hour shift premium.
