We are looking either for an experienced flooring coordinator, or someone eager to learn! Salary dependent on experience, with room to earn more on sales commissions.
You absolutely must be an excellent multi-tasker, reader, writer, listener and communicator, this job entails many phone calls, texts, emails, in person meetings where quick thinking, clear communication, and attention to detail is paramount.
Responsibilities include:
· Site visits for estimates, sample showings, small materials/ sundries deliveries
· Gather and assess the customers' requests and needs
· Coordinate with the customer, Project Manager, Flooring Division Manager, Install Coordinator, materials suppliers, and installers to ensure all jobs are on schedule and well organized.
· Schedule, coordinate and dispatch installers for service calls and site meetings.
· Draft purchase orders, work orders, schedule appointments, stay up to date with flooring product knowledge
Qualifications:
· Flooring materials and installation knowledge is great to have, specifically familiarity with estimating, installation methods, and local suppliers’ products.
· Good verbal and written communication skills essential
· Computer skills, including the ability to operate spreadsheet and word-processing programs with a high degree of skill.
· Effective problem solver
· Must be accurate, organized, and detail-oriented
· Construction industry knowledge an asset
· Knowledge of restoration work, Outlook, Excel, Sketchup, Xactimate, Encircle, ICC are all assets
The great thing about this job is most of your projects are handed to you, the only selling portion required is showing options for selection to a customer who already needs new floors, and we are installing them. Once you are up to speed you can go after more flooring install / renovation projects for extra commission with no cap.
