Auto Check Automotive is looking for an Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our team in Nanaimo, BC. Duties
- Assist with diagnosing vehicle issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Complete tire services, brake work, fluid services, and general repairs as skill level allows
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repair jobs
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Support the team with vehicle assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting
- Learn to interpret technical manuals and schematics for various automotive systems
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge of automotive systems
Qualifications
- Registered apprentice, or strong interest in becoming one
- Basic automotive knowledge and mechanical aptitude
- Valid driver’s licence
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
- Own basic tools required for the job
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
