Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to oversee the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities, preventing loss, and ensuring a secure environment for staff and visitors. This role requires a keen eye for surveillance and the ability to respond swiftly to security concerns, utilizing CCTV systems and other security tools. Prior experience in law enforcement or loss prevention is highly valued, along with strong observational skills and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards.
- Monitor surveillance cameras (CCTV) to observe and record activities within the premises.
- Enforce security protocols to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement if necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches.
- Assist visitors and staff by providing directions or information while maintaining security procedures.
- Conduct security checks at entry and exit points to verify identities and prevent unauthorized access.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement loss prevention strategies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in law enforcement, surveillance, or loss prevention is preferred.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately.
- Must be reliable, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining a safe environment.
- Ability to pass background checks and any required training certifications.
- Physical fitness to perform patrol duties effectively.
Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour
