POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Coordinator is the primary point-person responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications. To achieve these important goals, the Project Coordinator will define project requirements and scope, acquire project resources, and monitor the efforts of project team members. Efficient delivery of project deliverables, effective quality control, clear communication of expectations to stakeholders, and upward reporting to management are critical tasks that must be performed throughout each project’s lifecycle. The Project Coordinator must ensure smooth and constant communication between the Project Site team, Reinforcing Detailer, Production, Installers, and Shipping. The Project Coordinator will ensure timely and accurate detailing, that schedules are adhered to, and maintain all documentation required throughout the lifecycle of the project.
POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Full coordination between site, detailing, production, installation, and shipping on multiple projects
- Review all contract documents and scope of work and ensure all work is performed as per contract documents.
- Compare construction drawings to estimate drawings and addendums for any changes
- Develop in conjunction with detailing department and maintain a rebar shop drawing schedule if required
- Review rebar shop drawings/detail sheets for general conformance, accuracy, and construction sequencing requirements
- Review of changes to contract (SI’s, RFI’s, etc.) and ensure that extras and credits are processed and approved in a timely manner
- Attend job site meetings as required to ensure quality control and provide input on scheduling
- Download, review, and process all information from the detailing department and send to fabrication
- Develop and maintain all documentation required throughout the lifecycle of the project
- Assist with progress billing, substantial completion and project closeout and job costing
- Track the progress and quality of work being performed by installers
- Creating and issuing of project RFI’s, clarifications and constructability and scheduling concerns
- Review field inspection reports from Consultants throughout the lifecycle of the project
- Produce monthly project status reports for review
- Other tasks as required to ensure service and quality
PRIOR WORK & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Solid knowledge of reinforcing steel, concrete structures, and concrete construction
- 3+ years of direct work experience in project coordination.
- Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project coordination methods.
- AutoCAD, Bluebeam, & MS Office experience
- Degree in Business or a related field preferred
