Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Roofing Laborer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with roofing projects, ensuring safety standards, and supporting the installation and repair of roofing systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction-related tasks and be comfortable working at heights and performing physically demanding work.
Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using various hand tools and equipment
- Prepare work sites by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and safety barriers
- Carry and lift heavy materials such as shingles, plywood, and other roofing components
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to ensure accurate installation
- Perform caulking and sealing to ensure waterproofing integrity
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing or structural adjustments as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing tools and debris removal
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
Qualifications
- Prior experience with hand tools, construction, carpentry, or handyman work is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of blueprint reading is a plus
- Familiarity with caulking techniques and waterproofing methods is desirable
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to job sites is preferred but not mandatory
