General Labourer
Location: Mississauga, ON
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Shift Availability
- Day Shift : 8AM - 4 PM
- Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday, 4:00 p.m. – 2:30 a.m.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare lumber by verifying the correct species, dimensions, and quality according to work orders.
- Load and feed boards into production machinery safely and efficiently.
- Stack, bundle, and prepare finished products for shipment.
- Assemble pallets and skids manually or using pallet-making equipment.
- Assist with the construction of wooden crates.
- Operate production tools and machinery safely while following established operating procedures.
- Adjust equipment as required for cutting depth, feed rate, and material specifications.
- Perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Handle, move, and transport materials throughout the facility (up to 20 kg as required).
- Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
- Follow work instructions and support team members to achieve production targets.
- Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work overtime when required in accordance with business needs and legislative requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in general labour, manufacturing, or production is an asset (3–6 months preferred but not required).
- Experience using nail guns, impact drivers, saws, or similar hand and power tools is considered an asset.
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Excellent work ethic with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting or moving materials up to 20 kg
Pay: $18.00 per hour

- Paris, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
