We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Prior dealership experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued, along with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques. Responsibilities
- Repair and restore vehicle bodies following manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to perform body repairs, dent removal, and panel replacements
- Assess vehicle damage accurately and determine the necessary repairs or replacements
- Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces
- Perform frame straightening and structural repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs within designated timeframes
- Follow all safety protocols and industry best practices during repair procedures
Requirements
- Previous dealership experience or extensive automotive repair background preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and body components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Knowledge of automotive repair techniques including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory depending on job duties
