Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. The Optometrist will utilize advanced technology such as Epic electronic health records and possess strong patient care skills to deliver exceptional service.
Duties
- Conduct thorough eye examinations and visual assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and seniors.
- Diagnose ocular conditions and prescribe corrective lenses or medical treatments as needed.
- Utilize medical terminology accurately to document findings and communicate with patients and healthcare teams.
- Manage patient care using electronic health records systems such as Epic, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and proper use of eyewear or contact lenses.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care, especially in senior or pediatric cases.
- Stay current with advancements in optometry practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Experience
- Strong background in patient care, demonstrating empathy and excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to eye health and treatments.
