Job Summary
Western Cree Tribal Council is seeking a motivated and compassionate Prevention Supervisor to oversee the Prevention Program under the Child, Youth & Family Enhancement Agency (CYFEA) Department. Reporting directly to the Director of CYFEA, the Prevention Supervisor will provide leadership and supervision to two Family Support Workers and one Program Facilitator while ensuring quality prevention services and reporting requirements are maintained.
The successful candidate will support prevention-focused services that strengthen families, promote healthy parenting, provide life skills programming, and support community wellness initiatives within Horse Lake and Duncan communities.
Qualifications
· Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Child & Youth Care, or related field preferred.
· Relevant experience in child welfare, prevention services, or family support.
· Supervisory experience is considered an asset.
· Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
· Knowledge of Indigenous culture and community-based services.
· Valid Driver’s License required.
· Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check required.
Responsibilities
· Supervise and support Prevention Program staff.
· Ensure staff complete required documentation, case notes, and reporting.
· Coordinate prevention programming and family support services.
· Support delivery of parenting, life skills, and wellness programs.
· Monitor program operations and ensure service quality.
· Assist with ISC reporting and program deliverables.
· Build positive relationships with families, community leadership, and partner agencies.
· Promote culturally respectful and community-based approaches to service delivery.
Staff Supervision:
· Two Family Support Workers providing in-home parenting and family support services.
· One Program Facilitator delivering parenting programs, life skills workshops, and community wellness programming.
Work Environment:
WCTC CYFE is a Forward-Thinking Agency covering 2 First Nation Reserves in the area of Child Intervention and Prevention, delivering services to assist families in their respected communities.

Pay: $90,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
