Job Description – 3rd to 5th Year Plumbing Apprentice
The 3rd to 5th Year Plumbing Apprentice is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other team members. The successful candidate will provide high-quality workmanship, maintain a safe work environment, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair plumbing emergencies, including water leaks, drain blockages, fixture failures, and piping issues.
- Perform plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance in residential and commercial buildings.
- Complete renovation projects, including rough-ins, fixture installations, and finishing work.
- Troubleshoot plumbing systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Work independently to complete assigned service calls and projects.
- Collaborate with team members on larger installations and complex repairs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working order.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and coworkers.
- Complete required documentation, work orders, and job reports accurately.
- Meet project timelines and service deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Qualifications
- Registered 3rd to 5th Year Plumbing Apprentice.
- Minimum three years of plumbing experience.
- Valid driver's licence.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of applicable plumbing codes and industry best practices.
