About the Role
Are you a safety-conscious, highly skilled, and experienced driver looking for an exciting and challenging job opportunity? We looking for a Hydro Vac Operator to join our growing team at Super Save Group. As a Hydro Vac Operator, you will be responsible for operating our specialized machinery to safely and effectively dig, vacuum, and transport materials using high-pressure water and vacuum technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a hydro-vac truck and all associated equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform pre and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Observant with a commitment to following all Super Save Group's established safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck, ensuring all equipment is maintained as per SSG procedures.
- Safely and efficiently operate high-pressure water and vacuum systems to excavate and transport materials.
- Communicate effectively with team members and site supervisors to ensure job requirements are met.
- Coordinate with clients, and dispatchers to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
- Assist in other duties and tasks as required by the job site and supervisor.
- Knowledge of the waste management industry and regulations is considered an asset.
Key Qualifications
- Valid Class 3 driver’s license and clean abstract.
- Previous hydro-vac experience to be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of operating high-pressure water and vacuum systems
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Able to safely demonstrate the ability to maneuver the truck in tight spaces.
- Ability to operate manual transmission.
- Willingness to travel and work on a flexible schedule if required.
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills are an asset
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with customers and dispatchers.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
