Job Overview
We are seeking reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Laundry Workers to join our team. We have several positions available within our commercial laundry operation, including packout, linen finishing, dry cleaning, and tunnel loading.
The successful candidates will help ensure linens, towels, garments, and other textile products are processed efficiently, accurately, and to a high standard for delivery to our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties may vary depending on the department assigned and may include:
- Working in the packout department by wrapping, packaging, and preparing linens for customer deliveries.
- Catching, sorting, and organizing linens such as sheets, towels, pillowcases, napkins, and table linen as they come off production equipment.
- Loading soiled linen into the tunnel washer system in a safe, organized, and efficient manner.
- Sorting laundry by item type, customer, and wash classification as required.
- Assisting in the commercial dry cleaning department, including pressing pants, shirts, jackets, and other garments.
- Maintaining a steady pace while ensuring quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Following company procedures, safety guidelines, and supervisor instructions.
- Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members.
Tunnel Loader Position
The tunnel loader is responsible for feeding soiled linen into the commercial tunnel washer system. This role requires good organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work at a consistent pace. The tunnel loader must ensure linen is sorted and loaded correctly, follow proper weight and wash classifications, and help maintain an efficient flow of work through the plant.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in a commercial laundry, hotel, housekeeping, hospitality, or production environment is an asset, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English is required for certain positions, including packout and dry cleaning.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to producing quality work.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull laundry carts or bags as required.
- Comfortable working in a busy commercial laundry environment.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality.
