Qualifications
- CPA designation strongly preferred (open to highly experienced non-designated candidates)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing a finance team
- Full-cycle accounting expertise including month-end close, financial statements, and audit preparation
- Experience with fund accounting, grant management, or non-profit/public sector finance is a strong asset
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to lead change and improve processes in a build-and-fix environment
- Experience working with First Nations or Indigenous communities is an asset
