Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver - Class 3 to join our logistics team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently across various routes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, vehicle maintenance, and safety protocols. Candidates with skills in forklift operation, automotive repair, and heavy equipment handling will be highly valued. Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 3 commercial trucks for local and regional freight transportation
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
- Follow all safety procedures and traffic laws during transportation activities
- Coordinate with dispatchers to optimize routes and delivery schedules
- Assist in warehouse operations including freight handling and inventory management when required
Experience
- Valid Class 3 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Prior experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred
- Knowledge of forklift operation, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair is advantageous
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in transportation and logistics
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and compliance requirements
Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
Licence/Certification:
- Class 3 Licence W/clean abstract (required)
