Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage the financial records of our various clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recording daily financial transactions, updating general ledgers, bank reconciliations and more. This role requires a high level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Manage invoices, receipts and other financial documentation
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
- Assist with payroll processing
- Maintain and balance the general ledger
- Assist with sales tax filings
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software Sage 50 is required
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in Google Drive, Sheets and Word
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education & Experience:
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience required
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Hybrid
- 20 - 30 hours per week during 9:00 - 5:00 business hours (not evenings & weekends)
Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Richmond Hill, ON
