About Us:
At Canco, we are proud to be a Canadian-owned, independent brand offering a friendly, fast, and local 5-star experience. In addition to our convenience and fuel station, our Lillooet location proudly operates an integrated vape shop. We are looking for a reliable, energetic team member to manage both sides of our business!
What You’ll Do:
- Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and provide knowledgeable service across both the gas station convenience store and the vape shop.
- Vape Shop Support: Assist customers with choosing e-liquids, vape devices, and accessories (training will be provided!).
- Point of Sale (POS): Efficiently handle cash, debit, credit, lottery, and vape product transactions.
- ID & Compliance: Strictly enforce legal age verification (19+) for all vape and tobacco sales—this is a critical part of the job.
- Store Upkeep: Keep the convenience store, vape displays, and outdoor pump areas clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Inventory Management: Help receive stock, restock shelves/coolers, and keep vape inventory organized.
What We Are Looking For:
- Age Requirement: Must be 19 years of age or older to legally handle and sell vape products in British Columbia.
- A friendly, outgoing personality with a focus on great customer service.
- Strong communication skills and comfort discussing vape products with adult customers.
- Reliability—someone who shows up on time and is ready to work.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs (for restocking).
- Flexibility to work a mix of shifts (mornings, evenings, and weekends).
- Experience in retail, gas stations, or the vape industry is a plus, but we are fully willing to train the right person!
Schedule:
- 20 to 25 hours per week.
- Shift times can be discussed during the interview.
