Boutique Awesome is seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to oversee daily operations, staff management, events, and business growth.
This position requires a professional, organized, and dependable leader capable of managing a fast-paced retail and event environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations and staff management
- Ensure operational procedures and responsibilities are completed efficiently
- Manage scheduling, team performance, and staff accountability
- Maintain high standards for customer service, organization, and professionalism
- Oversee inventory management, merchandising, and restocking
- Coordinate and supervise in-store events and event staff
- Assist with operational improvements and business growth initiatives
- Support marketing, promotions, and community engagement efforts
- Train, coach, and support staff development
- Identify operational issues and implement effective solutions
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of management or leadership experience in retail, operations, hospitality, or a related field
- Postsecondary education in Business, Management, Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, Operations, or a related discipline
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage staff professionally and maintain accountability
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment
- Fluent in both English and French (spoken, written, and reading)
- Comfortable using POS systems, Google Workspace, and retail technology
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and major event weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hobby, gaming, event, or specialty retail environments
- Experience with Shopify, inventory systems, or retail operations software
- Knowledge of trading card games including Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Lorcana, Star Wars Unlimited, or Warhammer
Compensation
$25–$32/hour depending on experience, qualifications, and leadership ability.
Higher compensation may be considered for exceptional candidates with strong operational and management experience.
