Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically skilled Shop Technician to support our sales team through technical expertise and hands-on assistance. This role involves working in a dynamic manufacturing environment, providing essential support with assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, familiarity with manufacturing processes, and proficiency with various hand and power tools. Duties
- Assist the sales team by providing technical support on products, including assembly and troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and schematics to ensure accurate assembly and repairs.
- Operate and maintain machinery using machining, welding, and other mechanical techniques.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to perform precise work.
- Support warehouse operations by managing inventory of parts and tools required for assembly and repairs.
- Utilize forklift operation skills for moving heavy equipment or materials safely within the warehouse or shop floor.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Assist in training new team members on the proper use of tools, schematics, and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments is preferred.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and mechanical assembly is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with machining, welding, and use of hand tools is beneficial.
- Knowledge of forklift operation and warehouse procedures will be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems, power tools, calipers, and schematics enhances candidate suitability.
- Previous experience working with manufacturing equipment or in a technical support role is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed.
This position is integral to supporting our sales efforts through technical expertise while maintaining high standards of safety and quality in our operations.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
