Cowichan Women Against Violence Society (CWAVS) is seeking a compassionate and grounded Client Support & Victim Services Worker to join ourteam. This is a meaningful opportunity to support individuals impacted by power-based violence through front-line services grounded in safety, dignity, and connection.
This part-time (24 hours/week), in-office role is based in Duncan, BC and offers the opportunity to be part of a collaborative, values-driven organization committed to trauma-informed, culturally safer, and relational practice.

About the Role
This role brings together front-line client support and administrative coordination.
You will often be a first point of connection for individuals reaching out for support. The role includes crisis response, safety planning, system navigation, and referrals, alongside front desk responsibilities and program support.
This role requires both presence and adaptability, holding space for clients while also supporting the day-to-day flow of services.
In This Role, You Will:
· Provide emotional support, crisis response, and information to individuals impacted by violence
· Support clients with court preparation, accompaniment, and applications (e.g., CVAP, Victim Impact Statements)
· Assist with safety planning and connecting clients to community resources
· Respond to in-person, phone, and email inquiries in a trauma-informed and respectful manner
· Coordinate appointments and maintain accurate, timely client records
· Support front desk operations and administrative needs across programs
· Assist with donations and client resource distribution
· Participate in team debriefing, supervision, and reflective practice
· Build respectful, collaborative relationships with colleagues and community partners
Our Ideal Candidate Brings:
· Post-secondary education in social sciences or a related field, or a combination of education and experience
· 2+ years of experience supporting individuals impacted by violence or in a related setting
· Experience with client intake, assessment, and referrals
· Knowledge of the criminal justice system and survivor supports
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
· Experience balancing client-facing and administrative responsibilities
· A respectful, empathetic, and grounded approach to working with individuals

Additional Requirements Include:
· Satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal reference check in accordance with CWAVS policies and funder requirements.
