We are seeking an experienced Transportation Operations Manager to join our Management Team.
This is a senior leadership position responsible for the safe, efficient, compliant, and profitable operation of our transportation fleet. The successful candidate will provide leadership to our dispatch team and drivers while overseeing transportation operations, fleet safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous operational improvement.

Your Responsibilities
As the Transportation Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
Transportation Operations
- Leading the day-to-day transportation and dispatch operation.
- Ensuring freight moves safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Maximizing truck, trailer, and driver utilization.
- Reducing empty miles and improving operational efficiency.
- Coordinating equipment availability with Fleet Maintenance.
- Monitoring operational performance and implementing improvements.
- Managing transportation resources to achieve departmental goals.
Leadership
- Leading, coaching, and developing the dispatch team.
- Supervising and supporting company drivers.
- Building a positive culture of accountability, teamwork, and professionalism.
- Conducting one-on-one meetings and performance reviews.
- Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing employees.
- Addressing performance concerns fairly and consistently.
Safety & Compliance
- Leading the company's fleet safety program.
- Promoting safe driving practices and professional driver behaviour.
- Ensuring compliance with Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations.
- Overseeing Hours of Service compliance.
- Maintaining driver qualification files and regulatory documentation.
- Investigating accidents and implementing corrective actions.
- Preparing for regulatory audits and maintaining the company's safety rating.
Continuous Improvement
- Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
- Standardizing transportation processes and best practices.
- Documenting procedures.
- Leading departmental improvements through the EOS operating system.
- Achieving departmental Rocks, Scorecard measurables, and annual objectives.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum five years of transportation operations or dispatch experience.
- Previous management or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of LTL and truckload transportation.
- Experience managing professional drivers.
- Thorough understanding of Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations.
- Experience with fleet safety and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with transportation management software, telematics, and Microsoft Office.

Pay: $95,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
