We are seeking a compassionate, community-focused Family Resilience Worker who is passionate about strengthening families, promoting wellness, and helping families access the supports they need to thrive.
Reporting to the Family Wellness Program Manager, the Family Resilience Worker provides direct support to children and families, with a focus on healthy relationships, parenting, prevention, and reducing barriers to services. Working collaboratively with the Family Wellness, Health and Wellness, Social Development teams, Elders, community healers, families, and external service providers, the role provides coordinated, wrap-around support and advocacy.

POSITION DETAILS
This is a temporary full-time position for a one-year term, with a wage range of $24.54–$34.35 per hour based on qualifications and experience plus 4% vacation pay.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a good fit for this opportunity if you possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Diploma in Social Services, Human Services, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in First Nation communities and/or organizations.
- 1–2 years of experience in family support or prevention programs.
- Knowledge of Indigenous wellness, prevention practices, and family support.
- Knowledge of Secwepemc culture and traditions is an asset.
- Strong communication, advocacy, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work respectfully using trauma-informed approaches.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trusting relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Emergency First Aid Level 1 and FoodSafe, or willingness to obtain.
- Valid BC Class 5 driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Criminal records check with vulnerable sector screening.
- Knowledge of the Child, Youth, and Family Services Act and prevention best practices.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada for the duration of employment. Preference may be given to applicants of Aboriginal ancestry in accordance with Section 16(1) of the Canadian Human Rights Act.
