Larry's Sports is a family owned business specializing in the sales and service of hockey equipment. We are looking for a part time or seasonal full time sales associate who is motivated and has a passion for hockey. Experience is preferred but we will train the right candidates too.
About the position:
The Sales Asscociate is responsible for helping with the day-to-day operations of our North Vancouver retail location. The Sales Associate provides a memorable and exciting shopping experience for customers of all ages, and services a large customer base seeking regular skate sharpening and hockey/baseball equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Hockey and/or Baseball background required (player, coach, fan)
- At minimum, completion or attending secondary school
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills:
- Knowledge and passion for ice hockey and/or lacrosse is an asset
- Experience and/or knowledge with skate sharpening is an asset
- Familiarity with point-of-sale system operations
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Email, Microsoft Word, and Excel)
- Ability to problem solve
- Excellent customer service
- Organized
Responsibilities:
- Provides excellent customer service in person and over the phone, including identifying appropriate customer needs
- Assists customers in Hockey and Baseball equipment fitting
- Stocking and merchandising of inventory
- Shipping and Receiving
- Cash Handling
- Assist in skate sharpening for a large customer base
- Other duties as required
