Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and ensuring the quality and presentation of dishes meet our standards. Duties
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning for various dishes
- Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with food plating and garnishing to ensure visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including stations and utensils
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and equipment
- Support other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to maintain efficient workflow
- Adhere to all health regulations and safety guidelines during food preparation
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a line/prep cook in a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques across various cuisines is a plus
- Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Serving experience is beneficial but not required; a passion for delivering excellent food service is essential
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
