Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Urdu Speaking Home Support Worker to provide personalized care and assistance to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Urdu and possess a strong understanding of senior care, patient support, and home health services. This role involves working closely with individuals requiring assistance due to age, disability, or health conditions, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being in a respectful and culturally sensitive manner.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences
- Administer medications accurately according to care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and organizing living spaces
- Support clients with mobility and transfer activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Monitor health status and report changes to healthcare professionals or family members
- Assist with activities that promote mental stimulation and social engagement
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures, especially when working with vulnerable populations such as those with dementia or disabilities
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, home care, nursing home settings, or hospice care is highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing skills is advantageous
- Background in caregiving roles involving senior care or hospice support is beneficial
- Ability to communicate fluently in Urdu to effectively assist clients and coordinate with family members or healthcare providers
- Experience in caregiving roles that involve heavy lifting or physical assistance is a plus
