Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Labourer to join our dynamic Geothermal Drilling Team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience, you will be part of the drilling team and responsible for the day-to-day operations of the job site, as assigned.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, physically capable, and eager to learn new skills in a fast-paced drilling environment. Prior construction experience is required. The job involves working on projects sites located throughout the GTHA.
Essential Job Functions
The role will include but is not limited to:
- Operating any drill rig or tools assigned to you along with any and all support equipment and tools that are required.
- Operating any grouter and associated installing equipment assigned to you with any and all support equipment and tools that are required.
- Maintain each site with the highest of standards with regards to safety, workmanship, performance, and efficiency.
- Diligently maintain any and all documentation and reporting pertaining to the project, including but not limited to, daily safety documentation, grout logs, drilling logs, and inventory logs.
- Read and interpret blueprints/ locates and follow all specifications within.
- Willing to travel anywhere in Ontario
- Work extended days and overtime as needed, including up to 6 days per week and 12 hours per day during peak construction season.
- Operate and maintain company vehicles and construction equipment, including but not limited to Company trucks, Drill Rigs, Grouters, Loop Reels, Excavators, Skid Steers, Generators, etc.
- Work in all weather conditions
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and tools
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and injuries
Skills & Experience
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools used in construction
- Experience in construction or related fields is required; previous experience with drilling is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for motivated individuals
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy loads and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
